haven't had even a single brain fart in a while, so sorry about that.

enihuuuu, still very much undecided on a residency program. geez. good thing i found this to help me out a bit.

this is something else that i found that i like very much.

Dear society (specifically my Aunt and Jane),

Just because I'm in my mid-thirties, single with no boyfriend and I do not have children, does not mean I'm a lesbian. You do not have to make 'tsk tsk' sounds every holiday I need to see you because I'm there on my own. You do not need to ask random men at the pub if they're single because (insert look to me across the table) you have someone who needs a date. I do not need to be reminded that my eggs are getting old. They remind me often enough.

I abhor getting odd sympathy looks when I take myself out for a meal and sit enjoying a glass of wine and a good read.

I hate that my married/pregnant counterparts get maternity leave - with pay. That's prejudice against those of us without children. I WANT MY YEAR OFF WITH PAY AND GUARANTEED EMPLOYMENT WHEN I RETURN.
